Terms of Service
Effective June 12, 2026 · taxaddresschange.com (“Tax Address Change”) is operated by JUNCTURA LLC, a Florida limited liability company based in Tampa, Florida (“we”, “us”).
1. What the service is
We provide (a) free self-preparation software that helps you fill in IRS Form 8822 with your own information, and (b) a paid print-and-mail service that prints the form you reviewed and signed and delivers it to USPS, addressed to the IRS office the form’s own instructions assign to your old state. We are a private company — not the IRS, not a government agency, not a law firm, and not a tax return preparer. We never sign forms or act on your behalf; you review and sign everything yourself. Form 8822 can always be filed free directly with the IRS.
2. Your responsibilities
You must be 18 or older to use the paid service. You confirm the information you enter is accurate and that you’re authorized to change the address(es) on the form (including your spouse’s consent and signature on a joint filing). The review screen shows exactly what prints — check it. We mail what you approved; we don’t review your answers for tax correctness and nothing here is tax or legal advice.
3. The paid mailing, refunds, and the guarantee
- Fees are one-time, shown before payment, processed by Stripe.
- Full refund any time before your letter prints (printing usually happens the next business day). Email support@taxaddresschange.com — a cancellation counts from the moment you send it, whenever we read it.
- After printing: one free re-mail if you caught a typo, or if USPS returns the letter undelivered (we’ll send a quick link to re-confirm and re-sign, since we never keep your SSN or signature).
- If the IRS ever rejects a form we mailed, we re-mail free or refund in full — your choice. Reasonable proof: any IRS correspondence referencing the form.
- We can’t control or guarantee USPS transit times or IRS processing times (the IRS estimates 4–6 weeks).
4. What we’re liable for
If we get something wrong, our total liability is capped at the greater of $100 or three times what you paid us for the order in question. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages — including tax penalties, interest, missed IRS correspondence, or losses flowing from IRS processing outcomes — because we can’t see or control your tax situation. Some states don’t allow certain limitations; where a limitation isn’t allowed, it doesn’t apply.
5. Privacy
The short version: your SSN and signature stay in your browser until you order, ride only inside the PDF, and are never stored by us. The full story, including the retention table, is the Privacy Policy and Security page.
6. Acceptable use
Use the service only for your own (or your jointly-filing spouse’s) genuine address change. Don’t submit someone else’s information without authority, probe or disrupt the service, or use it for anything unlawful. We may refuse or refund any order.
7. Disputes and the boring parts
These terms are governed by Florida law. Before any formal dispute, email us — nearly everything is fixable with a re-mail or a refund. We may update these terms; the effective date above changes when we do, and material changes will be noted on this page. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stands.
