The two-sentence version

Your SSN and signature never touch our servers’ storage — they exist in your browser and inside the single PDF we print, nowhere else. We keep the minimum order record needed to mail your form, show you its status, and handle refunds, then redact it on a schedule.

What we collect, and why

• Form contents you type (names, addresses, SSNs, prior names, optional phone): processed in your browser to fill the form. Only the finished PDF is uploaded, once, when you order mailing. SSNs, signatures, prior names, and phone are not extracted or saved server-side — the PDF is held in memory only for the minutes it takes to hand off to printing, then erased.
• Order record (your name, spouse name if joint, old/new address, email, mailing tier, tracking number): kept to fulfill the order, run the status page, and provide support. Addresses are reduced to state-only 90 days after delivery; name and email are deleted 18 months after that.
• Payment: handled by Stripe on their hosted checkout. We receive confirmation, amounts, and transaction IDs — never card numbers.
• Analytics: Plausible (cookie-free, no cross-site tracking) counts page views and step completion. No form values, ever. No session replay, no Google Analytics, no ad pixels.
• Email: status messages sent via Resend from notifications@taxaddresschange.com; replies go to a human-read support inbox.
• Server logs: standard operational logs excluding request bodies on the order endpoint (so the PDF never appears in logs).

Who processes data for us

Stripe (payments), PostGrid (printing and USPS handoff — per its documentation, SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA-compliant, with automated file purging under a minimal-retention policy), Resend (email), Render (hosting), Plausible (analytics). Each receives only what its job requires. We don’t sell or share personal information for advertising — there’s nothing here an advertiser would be allowed to have.

Your choices and rights

• Use the free download path and nothing about your form ever reaches us at all.
• Email support@taxaddresschange.com to access, correct, or delete your order record (we keep what payment-dispute and financial-records law requires, then delete).
• Status pages are private tokenized links — share them or don’t.

Children, breaches, changes

The service is for adults handling their own tax mail — you must be 18+ to order, the site is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect children’s information. If a breach affecting you ever occurs we’ll email you promptly with specifics. Policy changes update the date above; material changes get a notice on this page.
